About Us

Darra Oxley Pony Club (DOPC) is located at 588 Boundary Road, Richlands, Queensland and forms part of the CJ Greenfields Sports Complex.

DOPC covers a total area of 10.85 acres including a large car park; a hall (792m²) which includes a canteen and toilet facilities; a competition size dressage arena (60m X 20m); 562.5m² of open level grass riding area; agistee paddocks; Storage facilities; holding yards for horse and members shed. The grounds are open for participation 6am to 10pm, 7 days a week for equestrian activities.

DOPC is part of Pony Club Association Queensland (PCAQ) a youth development and sporting organisation emphasising on inclusiveness, education, safety, self-discipline, self-respect and family values for equestrian sport. It provides affordable opportunity for city, suburban and local individuals to learn and improve their riding and horsemanship skills.

At Darra Oxley Pony Club, we undertake a variety of activities in order to cater for all ages and abilities. This enables our riders to sample a wide range of disciplines to discover what they enjoy the most.

These include:

• Dressage training
• Showjumping
• Sporting/gymkhanas
• Campdrafting (offsite clinics)
• Trail riding and beach rides (offsite venues)

Musters are held on the fourth Sunday of every month, unless otherwise specified. Generally speaking, the day begins with a roll call at 9am and a discussion of the day’s events. Full-day clinics and half-day musters are shown on the calendar.
