Uniform Requirements

Darra Oxley Pony Club's official uniform is dark green and Brown.

Our official uniform is worn in gymkhanas and formal competitions, consists of beige or black jodphurs /riding pants, collared dark green shirt, brown vest and white tie. A brown vest maybe optional during hot days and at the discretion of the pony club, hosting the event.

For monthly rallies and sporting events, riders are required to wear the club polo shirt and jodhpurs or riding pants.

The Darra Oxley Pony Club saddlecloth must be used at all formal competitions and events.

The club saddlecloth and all uniform items are available for purchase from the club’s uniform shop. Uniforms can be ordered via the Club Treasurer in person or by sending an email to dopctreasurer@outlook.com or alternatively by sending an email to the club secretary at dopcsecretary@outlook.com

Safety Gear Requirements

Safety is paramount in pony club and all riders are required to wear PCQ-approved helmets and smooth-soled, heeled riding boots.  

PCQ finds that any helmet tested and meeting the VGI helmet standard is acceptable for use in all Pony Club activities. Helmets need to comply with the following standards: AS/NZS 3838 (AU) and ARB HS 2012; PAS 015 (UK); ASTM F 1163 (USA); VGI (Europe) EN1384 – Only for helmets with manufacture date up to and including 2015.  Black, brown, and white are preferred helmet colours for competition.
