Wallangarra Riding & Pony Club (Inc) is a member of Pony Club WA and offers membership by invitation to riders up to age 25. Pony Club Australia is our parent organisation.
Our home grounds are located at Fletcher Park, Moore Street, Wungong in the city of Armadale, Western Australia.
About
Wallangarra Riding & Pony Club
Pony Club is an international youth organisation. Pony Clubs were established in Western Australia from 1959. The Wallangarra Riding & Pony Club began in 1976 established by founding member Dawn Murray.
Riding activities began in what we call the '10 acre' at the bottom of Moore Street with 6 families hosting 16 riding members. Our Treasurer, Linda Fletcher was one of those founding families.
In 1980 Wallangarra Riding & Pony Club secured a lease of the main riding area on the opposite side of Moore Street. In 1990 a Government Grant was secured to build the Club House. Many members were involved in building the Club House which was officially opened in 1995. The Club House is still in use by the Pony Club. The City of Armadale upgraded the oval and main Show Jumping arena in 2013/2014.
Fletcher Park is a designated Flora & Fauna Reserve.
Wallangarra Riding & Pony Club has a strong history and is extremely proud of its contribution to the Pony Club movement. Our riding members have represented the Club, State and Australia on many occasions in a variety of equestrian disciplines. Our hard working Committee Members and Volunteers have been recognised on many occasions for their efforts and commitment to Pony Club.
